Hospital treatment for girl, eight, hit by car

An eight-year-old girl needed hospital treatment, after being hit by a car in Shropshire.

She was struck by a blue Citroën Picasso on Mount Pleasant Road in Shrewsbury at about 17:20 BST on Thursday.

The pedestrian suffered injuries to her arm in the collision near to the junction with Whitemere Road and attended hospital.

West Mercia Police said officers would like to see any dashcam footage of the incident or speak to any witnesses.
