Drivers urged to avoid crash area amid tailbacks

Drivers are being urged to avoid a road where two vehicles have crashed leading to delays.

Emergency services were called to the A66 in Cumbria, by the Bassenthwaite Lake Station Cafe, earlier.

Cumbria Police asked the public to avoid the area around the A66/B5291 Dubwath junction.

Traffic was at a standstill on the westbound carriageway, with congestion expected for several hours.
