Airline bosses say people can now book a single ticket to travel long-haul from Guernsey following a partnership between Aurigny and Emirates.

Currently people have to book a separate Aurigny flight out of Guernsey, and then another to a different country.

But bosses said the single ticket would "simplifying travel and eliminate the hassle of arranging separate itineraries for long-haul journeys".

The agreement will cover both inbound and outbound passengers.

Bosses said under the agreement customers' luggage would be transferred from Aurigny flights to Emirates flights and vice versa.

Adnan Kazim, deputy president and chief commercial officer at Emirates, said: "We are proud to be working with Aurigny to provide a more seamless booking experience for the people of Guernsey."

Sudeep Ghai, Aurigny's chief commercial officer, said: "This partnership with Emirates is an exciting step change in travel possibilities for Aurigny and the people of Guernsey."
