Three people have been charged with fraudulent trading involving dozens of customers at a car showroom in Cheshire.

Richard Gleave, Rachel Gleave and Mark East are alleged to have committed offences against more than 40 people between 2013 and 2017 at VIP Car Sales in Mereside Road, Knutsford.

Cheshire Police said the total value of the alleged offences exceeded £1m.

All three suspects have been charged with fraudulent trading contrary to the Companies Act 2006, while Mr Gleave faces an additional charge of theft.

The three suspects have been summonsed to appear at Liverpool Magistrates' Court on 12 February.
