Delays were reported on the M54 after two lorries crashed

Motorists have faced long delays and lane closures on the M54 in Staffordshire following a crash between two lorries in which one overturned.

The crash happened shortly before 08:00 BST between junctions two for Wolverhampton and three for Cosford, Shropshire, National Highways said.

The eastbound route was closed, in addition to one lane of the westbound, due to damage to the central barrier caused by the overturned vehicle.

There were eastbound delays of up to two hours on Thursday morning, but by 16:30 National Highways said all lanes had been reopened in both directions.
