Family's luggage stolen at Gatwick Airport
Police have released an image of a man after a family reported their luggage was stolen at Gatwick Airport.
The baggage, which is said to have contained items including Apple electronic gadgets and laptops, house keys, a wallet containing bank cards, Sony headphones and scuba diving equipment.
The alleged theft took place some time between 11:35 and 11:50 GMT while they were at check-in area A at the airport's South Terminal on 12 December.
Police have released CCTV footage of a man they wish to speak with and are urging anyone who recognises him to come forward.
The man in the footage is described as being aged in his 30s with a beard and wearing a dark blue jacket, blue jeans, black trainers, and a dark or brown coloured baseball cap.
They said they believe the alleged thief boarded a bus to Crawley and later tried to use the stolen bank cards in the Langley Green area.
Insp Mark Robinson said: "[It] was distressing for the victim, who was with his young family at the time and seeking to embark on a holiday ahead of a busy festive period.
"We are issuing CCTV images of a man we wish to speak with in connection with our enquiries, anyone who can identify him is asked to come forward."
