Police say a woman was dragged to the ground during an attempted robbery.

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on Cricklade Road opposite the Gorse Hill Baptist Church in Swindon, at around 06:20 GMT on Friday.

The victim, aged in her 50s, was grabbed by the arm and dragged to the ground by an unknown male, who also demanded money.

The suspect, described as white, tall, wearing a brown cap and red trousers, fled towards Transfer Bridges roundabout.
