Man dies in hospital after being hit by car

A pedestrian has died in hospital after being hit by a car in Gloucester.

Kieran Jones, 35, was struck by a Skoda shortly after 23:00 GMT on 14 January on Barton Street near to the junction of St James Street.

Mr Jones was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol in a serious condition and died three days later, Gloucestershire Police said.

The Skoda driver stopped at the scene and no arrests have been made. Officers are investigating and have urged anyone with relevant information to contact police.
