Council announces new town parking restrictions

A council has announced new parking restrictions will be introduced on various streets to improve visibility and safety.
Bracknell Forest Council said these would take effect in Wooden Hill, Lily Hill Road, Grant Road, New Road, Meadow Way, Nuneaton and Lych Gate Close.
It said most restrictions consisted of double yellow lines or a "no waiting at any time" order.
Cabinet member for planning, transport and countryside Guy Gillbe approved the restrictions on Wednesday.
Councillors have the option to call in the decision for further deliberation until 28 April.
At Wooden Hill, residents have complained of parked vehicles, so a 20m double yellow line is proposed.
Double yellow lines are also planned for Lily Hill Road, over concerns about the visibility of cars coming up the hill.
Double yellow lines in New Road in Winkfield are designed to stop "conflict between vehicles travelling in opposite directions" due to parked cars.
A "no waiting at any time" restriction is planned to be added to Grant Road in Crowthorne.
The council said restrictions should "maintain two way traffic, preventing the opportunity for vehicles to meet facing each other".
In Nuneaton and Lych Gate Close in Sandhurst the same restriction will be added to junctions with Loughborough and Lower Church Road.
Double yellow lines are also intended to "keep the junction clear" on the east side of Meadow Way at the junction with Moordale Avenue.
