Man charged with historical sex offences

A man has appeared in court charged with a string of sexual assaults against four teenage men and boys dating back to the 1990s.
Allan Grimson, of Grove Road, Hollesley, Suffolk, was charged with 13 offences including rape, indecent assault and taking an indecent photo of a child.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in "Hampshire or elsewhere" between February 1994 and October 1999.
The court heard Mr Grimson had indicated not guilty pleas would be entered to the charges at a later date.
Grimson is accused of the rape of an 18-year-old man in "Hampshire or elsewhere" and five charges of indecent assault against the same victim between 1 February 1999 and 30 November 1999.
Basingstoke Magistrates' Court heard he is also accused of taking an indecent photo of a child and four charges of indecent assault against a second victim in "Hampshire or elsewhere" between 26 March 1999 and 31 October 1999.
He is also charged with a count of indecent assault of a third victim between 28 February 1994 and 31 December 1994, and indecent assault of a fourth victim between 30 September 1998 and 1 December 1998.
Grimson, wearing grey jogging bottoms and top, spoke to confirm his name and date of birth during the brief hearing.
His case was adjourned for a plea-and-trial preparation hearing at Winchester Crown Court on March 19.
District Judge Tim Pattinson said: "The rape charge must be heard at Winchester Crown Court.
"The next date is 19th March for a plea-and-trial preparation hearing.
"There are 12 other sexual offences which are related offences, all of these will be committed to Winchester Crown Court alongside the rape charge and all those will be heard also on 19th March."
Hampshire Police previously said the offences were alleged to have taken place in Portsmouth and Tyne and Wear.
