Motorcyclist in serious condition after crash

A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Devon, police say.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to Crapstone, near Yelverton, at about 17:25 GMT on Friday to the collision involving a grey Yamaha motorcycle and a red VW Golf.

The male rider of the motorcycle, aged in his 20s, was taken to hospital, where he remained, the force said.

The unclassified road was closed while an investigation took place and officers thanked drivers for their patience.

Police have appealed for anyone in the area at the time who had information or dashcam footage to get in contact.
