Police appeal after two robberies an hour apart

Police are appealing for information after two robberies were reported in the space of about an hour.

Northamptonshire Police said the first robbery happened in London Road, Kettering, at about 22:30 BST on Sunday when the victim was threatened with a knife and forced to hand over his mobile phone.

In a second incident at about 23:40, a victim was headbutted and had his phone stolen in Stamford Road, close to the junction with Bath Road.

Officers said they were treating the robberies as being linked and anyone with information was asked to call 101.

The suspect in both incidents was described as being a black male who was about 6ft 2in (188cm) tall, wearing a black puffa jacket and aged between 16 and 20 years old.
