A man has been arrested after a crash involving a tractor and a motorbike left a man with life-threatening injuries.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the crash took place at Trevothen, near Coverack, at about 16:25 BST on Wednesday.

The force said an 88-year-old man, the driver of the tractor, was taken to hospital in Plymouth in a life-threatening condition.

A man in his 60s from Porthleven was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving, using a vehicle without insurance and driving under the influence of drugs, the force confirmed.

He was released on bail pending further enquiries, it added.

Officers have asked anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
