Firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze which engulfed a building near Plymouth city centre.

Crews from Devon and Somerset Fire Service were called to the derelict Nations Club property on Union Street at about 16:30 GMT on Saturday.

A fire service spokesperson said on Sunday that the blaze had affected the first and second floors of the building along with the roof space and crews had gone back to the scene to check for hotspots.

An investigation is now being carried out with a cordon erected around the building and its neighbouring properties including a KFC fast food restaurant.
