Boy, 12, seriously injured in car park crash

A 12-year-old boy is being treated for serious injuries after a crash in a parking area at Horrabridge in Devon.

Officers were called at about 17:10 BST on Wednesday to reports a white Ford C Max had collided with a cyclist at New Park, Horrabridge.

The cyclist, a 12-year-old boy from the Horrabridge area, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

A 49-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by driving without due care and attention and driving a motor vehicle whilst unfit through drugs.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information or dashcam footage is urged to contact the police.
