Manx Care has said it is "actively looking to secure dental provision" for NHS patients registered with a surgery which has handed back its contract and will no longer perform services for the island's healthcare provider.
Grove Mount Dental Practice, in Ramsey, will cease providing NHS services from 31 March, but will continue to treat private patients.
A Manx Care spokeswoman said "the news may cause some uncertainty for patients", but said the provider was working to "minimise the disruption".
She said both the dental practice and Manx Care would work together on plans "to ensure a smooth transfer of dental care" for those affected.
NHS dental care contracts - which contain targets for the number of procedures to be carried out over a given period - are awarded to a number of independent practices across the Isle of Man.
In a statement, Manx Care asked patients at the Grove Mount Dental Practice not to take any action "at this time", adding patients would still be able to access their NHS dental services, as usual, until the end of March.
Those affected would be "informed in due course of the ongoing arrangements for their dental care from 1 April", the statement outlined.
Anyone with concerns should contact the Manx Care Advice and Liaison Service team, by phone or email.
The healthcare provider took over the running of a dental surgery in Douglas in October 2023 when it also decided to hand back its contract.
