A man has died following an incident at a haulage yard in West Lothian.

Emergency crews including the air ambulance were called to the Pollock (Scotrans) site at about 10:10 on Tuesday after reports a man had been injured, however a 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police Scotland said inquiries into the incident were ongoing and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) had been informed.

The watchdog said it was now working with the force on its investigation into the death.

A spokeswoman for Gregory Distribution, which bought Pollock in 2021, confirmed the man had died but said it could not comment further.
