A cannabis factory has been discovered in a house in a Staffordshire village, police said.

Officers were called to the address in Muckley Corner, near Lichfield, at about 18.45 GMT on Tuesday after reports of suspicious activity.

Staffordshire Police said the plants were already partly harvested and nobody was in the building when their officers arrived.

Electricity workers were called to cut off the power supply and the force added their investigations were continuing.
