'Threatening communication' grounds flights at airport
Kirkwall Airport has been reopened after a threat was made to the terminal.
Police Scotland said they were probing the "threatening communication" to the Orkney hub on Saturday morning.
Flights were grounded while the incident was ongoing and emergency services were in attendance.
Police said there was "no evidence" the threat was credible.
Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd (HIAL), which operates the airport, warned passengers that their journeys may be disrupted following the incident which happened at about 10:50.
They advised travellers to contact their airlines for flight updates.
A Police spokesperson said inquiries in to the incident were ongoing.
