Man killed in lorry crash named by police
A man who died after a van and a lorry crashed in West Yorkshire has been named by police.
The crash, which involved a Peugeot Bipper van and the lorry, happened in South Kirkby at about 22:00 GMT on Saturday.
Luke Croft, 33, was driving the blue van along Hemsworth Road towards South Kirkby when it collided with the heavy goods vehicle travelling in the opposite direction, West Yorkshire Police said.
Mr Croft, from Hemsworth, was pronounced dead at the scene, with the force appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in contact.
In a statement, Mr Croft's family described him as a "loving father, son, brother and uncle".
"We as a family are heartbroken by his loss," they said.
"We thank Luke's close friends for their kind wishes and we ask that our privacy is respected in our time of grief."
