A man riding an electric scooter has suffered "life-threatening injuries" in a crash in Bradford.

The crash took place on Reevy Road West in the Buttershaw area of the city at 19:00 GMT on Wednesday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The force said the man, who is aged in his 20s, was travelling in the direction of Wibsey Park Avenue near the junction of Bilsdale Grange when he came off the scooter.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition after suffering a serious head injury, with no other vehicles involved.

Officers asked anyone with any information about the crash to come forward.
