A housebuilder has been given permission to build 230 new homes in a Berkshire village months after it was refused by a council.
David Wilson Homes first applied to build on land north of New Bath Road in Twyford in 2022, but was turned down by Wokingham Borough Council last June.
The local authority said then that the development offered "an incongruous urban extension" to the village.
But planning inspector Christa Masters said it was "an appropriate, sustainable location" for homes and it would not be "physically separated from the settlement of Twyford".
She added it would create "no adverse impacts which would significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits of planning permission" and gave the go-ahead on Wednesday.
