Premier League goalkeeper admits driving offences

Arijanet Muric admitted to two driving offences that occured last August

A Premier League goalkeeper has been fined more than £23,000 after admitting two driving offences.

Arijanet Muric, 26, who plays for Ipswich Town, was charged with driving without third party insurance in a Bentley Bentayga on Saint Margaret's Street in the town.

He was also charged with use of mobile phone while driving.

Muric, of Ipswich, pleaded guilty to the offences and was fined £21,412 and given six points on his licence for the insurance offence at Suffolk Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

There was no separate penalty for the driving while using a mobile phone offence, however.

The offences occurred in August last year.

Muric was also given a £2,000 victim surcharge as well as a £110 prosecution fine.

The player was signed by Ipswich Town from Burnley last year in a deal worth up to £15m.

He initially began his senior career at Manchester City and also plays for his home nation team, Kosovo.
