Woman dies in hospital following crash on A26
A woman has died after a crash on the A26 in East Sussex, police have said.
A white Hyundai i10 driving southbound collided with a blue Hyundai Ioniq travelling in the opposite direction at about 14:45 GMT on Wednesday, said Sussex Police.
The driver of the i10, a 25-year-old local woman, was taken to hospital where she later died. Her family has been informed, the force confirmed.
A 64-year-old local man driving the other car suffered minor injuries in the collision at Herons Ghyll, near Uckfield, and has since been discharged from hospital.
Sussex Police said it was investigating the crash and asked witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact the force.
