Detectives investigating the murder of a woman who was last seen 15 years ago have been given more time to question a suspect.

Derbyshire Police launched a murder inquiry into the death of Izabela Zablocka, following information that came to light last week in connection with her disappearance in 2010.

On Monday, human remains believed to belong to Ms Zablocka were discovered in the back garden of a house in Princes Street in Normanton.

Now detectives have been given more time to question a 39-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of murder.

A fifth person, a 48-year-old man, has also been arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday and had since been bailed pending further inquiries the force said.

Three others, two women, aged 39 and 43 respectively, and a 41-year-old man, were also arrested in connection with the investigation over the course of the last week and remained on bail.

Helena Zablocka moved to the UK from Poland in 2009 and lives in Princes Street during 2010.

Det Insp Kane Martin, leading the investigation, said her family in Poland last spoke to Ms Zablocka on 28 August 2010.

He said: "We are continuing to work tirelessly to achieve answers for Izabela's family on the circumstances which led to her disappearance and suspected death.

"As our investigation continues, I want to keep the appeal for information about Izabela fresh in people's minds."

Anyone with information that might help the investigation is urged to contact police.

Crime charity Crimestoppers is also offering a £20,000 reward for any information that leads to the conviction of someone in the case.
