Firefighters tackle blaze at village pub

Firefighters have extinguished a blaze that broke out at a village pub.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS) was called to a premises in Main Road, Wilby, near Wellingborough, at about 11:20 BST.

A witness said The Horseshoe pub was affected, adding the fire appeared to be "contained to the rear of the property".

NFRS said that four crews attended the scene but that three had returned to their stations by 13:00 BST. One appliance remains on the scene and an investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
