A man has admitted intentionally driving his car into two people during an attack that left one victim with life-changing injuries.

Braden Lynam, 22, from Trowbridge, pleaded guilty at Salisbury Crown Court on Wednesday to causing grievously body harm with intent, and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The incident unfolded on March 27 after Lynam was involved in a fight with a man in his 40s on South Western Road Salisbury, Wiltshire, which a woman in her 20s attempted to break up.

Lynam then got in his car and drove at high speed towards the pair. The crash left the man with life-changing injuries and the woman with serious injuries.

Following the incident, Lynam left the crash scene and continued to Churchfields Road where he abandoned his vehicle and evaded police until his arrest four days later.

He will be sentenced on 4 July.
