Crash driver had medical episode at wheel - police

A driver involved in two back-to-back crashes is believed to have suffered a medical episode at the wheel, according to police.
Humberside Police was called to reports of a VW Golf colliding with a red Peugeot and then a van in Rawcliffe Road, Goole, at about 12:30 BST on Monday.
The VW continued on to the M62 eastbound where it came to a stop on the hard shoulder close to junction 36, officers said.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said the VW driver, a 68-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
They added: "From enquiries carried out so far, it is thought that the man suffered a medical episode at the wheel of his car."
Witnesses, or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage, are asked to contact police.
