Nappy bags stolen and suspicious hooded men seen

Nappy bags were stolen from a house and emptied into an alleyway nearby and hooded men were also seen during a series of burglaries and suspicious incidents in Devon.

Devon and Cornwall Police is urging witnesses to come forward after the incidents in the Roundswell and Newport areas of Barnstaple, in the early hours of Thursday.

The force said two nappy bags were taken from a home on Chichester Road at about 02:25 GMT and two or three men were seen on driveways in Cedar Grove, Becklake Close, and Higher Westlake between 04:00 and 05:00 GMT.

It added a man was seen in a garden in Coppice Gate at about 02:50 GMT and officers received reports of hooded men being seen on driveways or gardens, with it thought the suspects were targeting high value cars.
