Tenants have been banned from having visitors following anti-social behaviour complaints.

Cambridge Magistrates' Court ordered a house in Rawlyn Road, in the city, to be "closed" after residents had endured incidents linked to the property, police said.

The three-month order, issued on Friday, means no-one will be permitted to enter the home except the tenants and the emergency services.

Anyone unlawfully at the house would be liable for arrest.

Cambridgeshire Police applied to Cambridge Magistrates' Court for the order.

PC Lauren Rouse said: "Residents living in the surrounding streets of the property have endured no end of anti-social behaviour.

"The closure order allows the tenants to remain living at the address but will prevent those who have been attending to commit anti-social behaviour and other criminal offences."
