Polls open in referendum on a Plymouth mayor

Polling will take place over whether residents want a directly elected mayor

Voting is taking place in a referendum over whether or not Plymouth residents want to have a directly elected mayor.

Polling stations will be open across the city until 22:00 BST.

Information on the locations of all of the polling stations is available on the Plymouth City Council website.

The count will take place overnight with a result expected in the early hours of Friday.
