Man held for murder over stabbing of his father

A man has been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with murdering his 75-year-old father.

Rory Talbot, 30, of Wandsworth, south-west London, is accused of killing his father Mark Talbot.

His case was transferred from Wimbledon Magistrates' Court to crown court and he is due at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.

Police were called in the early hours of Friday to a property in Putney, south-west London, following reports of a stabbing.
