An inquest into the death of a 10-year-old girl who was hit by a car in Bradford has been suspended pending a criminal investigation.
Humaira Bibi died the morning after she was hit by a silver Toyota Yaris on Ransdale Road near the junction with Ramsey Street just after 18:30 GMT on Sunday.
Mohammed Zubair, her father, formally identified his daughter at Leeds General Infirmary, Bradford Coroner's Court heard.
Assistant coroner Angela Brocklehurst suspended the inquest pending a police investigation, as a 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released on bail.
Ms Brocklehurst said that Humaira had been "tragically involved in a road traffic collision" and the inquest would be suspended "until all of the evidence is at hand".
The case would next be reviewed on 15 May, she said.
Humaira's funeral was held in Bradford on Wednesday afternoon
A 16-year-old girl sustained serious but non life-threatening injuries in the crash.
