Fans euphoric as Liverpool cruise to victory

Thousands of Liverpool fans are celebrating after the team have become Premier League champions in their first season under manager Arne Slot.
Luis Diaz, Alexis Mac Allister, Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah scored - as well as an own goal from Destiny Udogie - in a 5-1 victory for the Reds against Tottenham in front of about 60,000 ecstatic spectators at Anfield.
The team now have 82 points - 15 ahead of Arsenal in second place - with four more games remaining until the season ends on 25 May.
Liverpool previously won the league in 2020 after a 30-year wait, however the impact of coronavirus restricted public celebrations.

But joy was unleashed as the squad and spectators celebrated together in the stadium, as well as many more fans across the city.
Thousands of ticketless fans lined the streets outside Anfield during the game, with some local residents letting them watch the game through their front windows.
Fans also climbed on bus shelters, cars and a garage shop as they let off red flares.

Dominic Solanke reached the back of the net for Tottenham while team mate Destiny Udogie scored an own goal.
Liverpool will officially be crowned champions when they lift the trophy at the final game of the season, which will be against Crystal Palace at Anfield on 25 May.
Thousands of fans are expected to turn out for a victory parade in the city, which would be expected to take place the following day.
