Dementia clinics will be held at bank branches in Tonbridge and Folkestone

A dementia charity is to offer free face-to-face clinics on the condition in two Kent bank branches.

Dementia UK will offer specialist support at events in Nationwide in Tonbridge and Folkestone in February and March.

Events in Tonbridge High Street branch will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday while clinics in Sandgate Road in Folkestone are scheduled for 11-13 March.

Appointments for the clinics can be booked on the Dementia UK website.

The clinics, hosted by specialist dementia nurses, aim to help anyone affected by the condition including offering advice on financial and legal issues.

The initiative is part of a national Fairer Futures programme from the bank to address social issues in the UK.

Ruby Guild, admiral nurse at Dementia UK, said: "We're looking forward to returning to Kent.

"Nationwide branches offer a safe and private space for people to access specialist support for dementia, and the fairer futures partnership is helping us bring face-to-face support to people in a familiar location."
