A man has been charged with murder following the death of a 60-year-old man found seriously injured on Saturday.

Morteza Ajdani was pronounced dead a short time after being found at a house in Warwick Road, Acocks Green, at about 15:00 GMT.

A 44-year-old is due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates' Court later.

A second man, 62, arrested over Mr Ajdani's death has been released on police bail while inquiries continue.

Det Insp Dan Jarratt, of West Midlands Police, appealed for anyone with information to get in touch.

He added the force's thoughts were with the victim's family and loved ones.
