Three arrested after teen stabbed in town centre

Three people including two teenagers were arrested after a 17-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries in a town centre stabbing, police said.
He was taken to hospital after the incident in Abington Street at the junction with Fish Street in Northampton at about 17:10 BST on Monday.
Two boys aged 17 and 16, as well as a 23-year-old man, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
Northamptonshire Police appealed for witnesses to come forward and said officers remained in the town centre as part of a "fast-paced investigation".
Det Insp Nicky McAllister said: "I would like to take this opportunity to thank those members of the public who came to the aid of the victim and who have been in contact about what they witnessed.
"This incident happened in a very public place, and we would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed it or have any information about what happened, no matter how insignificant you may believe it to be."
