The two-year-old mare, named The Dutchess, was stolen from a field in Shepperton, Surrey Police said

A police investigation has been launched after a horse was stolen from a field in Surrey.

The two-year-old mare, named The Dutchess, was taken from a field in Shepperton between 21:00 BST on 5 April and 10:00 on 6 April, police said.

The Dutchess is about 14 hands and has a distinctive dark coat that is lightly dappled underneath.

Anyone with information about the theft or who knows where The Dutchess might be is urged to contact the force.
