Scientist-turned-artist creates handmade wire birds
A scientist hopes to highlight the plight of wildlife with her artistic creations.
Sara Cox makes wire birds at her home in Teesdale, County Durham, inspired by the area's avian visitors.
"A lot of the birds that I've made have been endangered or on the red list," Sara explained.
She recently had one of her raven sculptures accepted for the Royal Society of British Artists annual exhibition.
