Two men who raped a woman after a party have been jailed.

Andy Nzita Iwela, 34, and Muketar Ahmed, 33, attacked their victim after a party in Iwela's house, in Middlesbrough, in March 2023.

Cleveland Police said one of the men had asked everyone to leave the party before the other man arrived and they raped the victim, who was aged in her 20s.

The pair, who police described as a "danger to women", were found guilty of rape, attempted rape and sexual assault at Teesside Crown Court. Iwela was jailed for 13 years and Ahmed for 11 years.

Det Sgt Marie Appleby said the attack had been a "horrendous experience" for the woman.

She said: "Iwela and Ahmed showed predatory behaviour which resulted in the rape of a young woman who was left traumatised."

Iwela, of Bush Street, Middlesbrough, and Ahmed, of Staindale Road in Thornaby, must also serve three years on an extended licence.
