Attacks suspect urged to hand himself in to police

Police have urged a Shropshire man sought in connection with violent attacks on women to hand himself in.
Police wish to trace Ryan Twardun, 32, from Hinstock, near Market Drayton, over serious assaults in Newport.
In one, a woman was hit over the head with a glass in Fusion Bar on Stafford Street on 8 March. Mr Twardun is also wanted in connection with an assault a week before in which a woman's head was stamped on, and her jaw broken.
"He knows we want to speak to him about serious assaults which took place in Newport earlier this month and is deliberately evading police," said Telford Det Ch Insp Jo Whitehead.
"My advice to him would be to hand himself in to a police station now.
"There will be people harbouring him, people helping him, and my warning to them is we will target them as well until we find him."
Mr Twardun is described as white, with short dark hair. He has a distinctive neck tattoo and is about 6ft 2in tall.
West Mercia Police advised the public not to approach him, but to get in touch if they saw him.
Crimestoppers said Mr Twardun had an alias of Scott Williams, and links to the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Telford and Shropshire areas.
