Murder investigation begins after man shot dead

A man was fatally shot in north London on Thursday evening, the Metropolitan Police said.
Police were called to an address in Waverley Road, Tottenham, at 20:45 GMT following reports that two men had been shot.
The London Ambulance Service treated one man, aged 27, for a gunshot wound to the head and another man, aged 26, for a gunshot wound to the leg.
The Met said the 27-year-old man died as a result of his injuries, and a murder investigation had been launched.
The man's family have been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
Det Ch Supt Caroline Haines, who leads policing in Tottenham, is asking for any witnesses, or anyone with any information, to come forward.

"Two men were shot on a residential street last night, with one man sadly losing his life," said Det Ch Supt Haines.
"We have multiple officers patrolling the area today, aiming to obtain key evidence and provide reassurance to you.
"We have a highly experienced team of investigators making urgent inquiries to find out who committed this act."
The 26-year-old man remains in hospital and a crime scene remains in place.
Inquiries are ongoing.
