Hundreds of cyclists followed a DJ and his cat for a bassline-heavy eight-mile ride through London on Sunday.

Dom Whiting, from High Wycombe, is known as the DJ On The Bike by his thousands of fans, and rides through towns and cities on a bicycle modified with speakers and decks.

His On The bike raves started during the Covid pandemic lockdowns.

"We weren't really able to go out and socialise and get that community feel of what life should be," he said.

One of his regular followers told BBC London that everyone was "always super-friendly."

"We've come to these events on our own before and you end up making friends," she said.

Mr Whiting has attracted a huge social media following for his attention-grabbing rides.

He has amassed more than 800,000 social media followers, many of whom stumbled upon him when he cycled through their home towns.

He has taken his event to different cities across the world and said he plans to take the party to towns and cities across the UK this year.
