A woman has been arrested after a motorcyclist died in a crash near Canterbury, Kent.

Police said a black Ford Fiesta and a black BMW X5 were travelling south along Stone Street, Stelling Minnis, just before 23:30 BST on Wednesday.

The Ford then collided with a red Honda CBF motorcycle being ridden in the opposite direction by a man in his 30s.

The man died at the scene and the driver of the Ford, a woman in her 20s, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing death by dangerous driving.

Kent Police confirmed the man's next of kin has been informed.

Officers are now carrying out enquiries and are asking anyone who saw the incident, or saw the vehicles involved before the collision, to get in contact.
