OIiver and Lili top 2024 baby names on Isle of Man

Oliver and Lili were the most popular baby names on the Isle of Man in 2024, new data has shown.
The central registry figures also showed 574 babies were born throughout the year, 35 fewer than in 2023.
The most popular names for girls also included Arrabelle or Arrabella, Florence, Delilah and Harper, all of which were recorded five times each.
Likewise for boys, the most popular choices also featured Theo or Theodore, Archie and Noah.
Rosie in Ramsey had her baby Arrabelle towards the end of the year.
She said the name means "answered prayer", which she said felt appropriate after having a miscarriage at the start of the year.

It can also mean beautiful and lovable "so it fit her perfectly", she added.
Amanda in Andreas said she called her daughter Florence as she'd always loved traditional names.

She added that it meant flourishing or blossoming in Latin.
Sarah in Douglas gave birth to her son Theodore in the spring, and said she had always loved the name.

She said: "Theodore means divine gift and as we tried for a year before falling pregnant with him, I thought the meaning was perfect.
"When we found out he was a boy, that's the name I wanted straight away."
