A broadband company is investigating why some customers have been unable to connect to the internet.

Sure, which provides IT and telecommunications to the Channel Islands, said: "We are aware of a potential issue impacting some fibre broadband customers, related to various devices not able to connect to the internet."

Engineers were investigating the problem, a spokesperson said, adding that the majority of customers were back online by 15:00 GMT.

They added: "We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause."

The company has not revealed how many users have been affected.
