Twenty-month-old boy dies after multi-car crash

A 20-month-old boy who suffered life-threatening injuries following a three-vehicle crash near a roundabout has died in hospital.
Lincolnshire Police said the collision, which involved a white Audi, a silver Kia Ceed, and a black Volkswagen Passat, took place close to the Holdingham roundabout on the A17 near Sleaford, Lincolnshire, at about 16:45 GMT on Wednesday.
The toddler was airlifted to hospital but died in the early hours of Friday morning, officers said.
A 31-year-old man, the driver of the Passat, who was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving has been released on police bail.
The force said other people involved in the crash had suffered minor injuries and its investigation into the cause of the collision was ongoing.
