Defibrillator installed at Devon police station

A defibrillator which can be used during a medical emergency has been installed outside a Devon police station.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the machine had been put outside Sidmouth Police Station on Temple Street after being purchased through Devon-based charity Jay's Aim.
The force said the machine is the fifth defibrillator to be installed in the town with others at the sailing club's watersports hub, the Tesco store on High Street, Sidmouth Rugby Club and All Saints Church.
PC Tom Driver said the police station's defibrillator would have a positive impact for the town.
Mr Driver said: "Having a defibrillator in such a central location in Sidmouth can make all the difference in saving lives when every second counts.
"We are proud to be part of a community that values the importance of this life-saving technology and are excited to see this installed."
Healthcare company Bupa carried out a number of fundraising events to get the machine installed including charity rows, cake sales and raffles.
Jay's Aim is a Devon-based charity who provide defibrillators and CPR training in memory of a 28-year-old man who died from an undiagnosed heart condition.
