Boy, 14, dies week after e-scooter crash

A 14-year-old boy has died a week after he was involved in a crash involving an electric scooter and a car.

The teenager was travelling on the e-scooter with another 14-year-old boy when the collision happened in Southmoor Road, Manchester, on 19 March.

The boy suffered serious injuries and died on Thursday, Greater Manchester Police confirmed.

No arrests have been made and the force is continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

The second teenager was not seriously injured.

Det Con Steven Pennington said officers' condolences were with the victim's family and friends.

He added: "Our work into the circumstances of the collision is still ongoing and we continue to ask anyone with relevant information to please get in touch with us as we continue our work."
