A weekly coffee morning has been set up to help tackle loneliness among military veterans.

The sessions, in Powick near Worcester, give ex-service personnel the chance to chat with their peers in what's described as a welcoming environment.

Veterans' charity Stepway is behind the coffee mornings, which take place every Thursday at 10:00 at the Link Nursery Community Hub on Hospital Lane.

Attendees said the coffee mornings were a vital way for veterans to combat isolation.

The charity, which is led by chief executive Dawn Turner, aims to support all veterans in civilian life, no matter their background or circumstances.

As well as the coffee mornings, they also run a farm shop and community cafe open to the public at the community hub.

There is also a wellbeing club, an art club and a craft club.
